Pokemon Protagonists + Starters

Art featuring the trainers my sis and I played as last 2016, as a way to celebrate Pokémon20!

This art is technically 8 months-old.
I drew all these on paper last December, and only got to digitize them little by little due to being busy with art school.


Gonna explain some elements:

• Gradient (left-right) runs from pastel red to pastel blue; it references how the general color scheme for the protags started from red, and eventually shifted to blue (for the boys).
  
• Brush stroke colors in the background reference the game that character was in. (ex. I played as Red in LeafGreen)
• ORAS May isn't there because I only replayed Emerald (as May) last year. 
• My sis only started on ORAS as Brendan last year, hence the different Hoenn trainer designs.
• Kris isn't here because we didn't replay Crystal. _{don't worry i acknowledge her existence}
• Two Samurotts are there because we both happened to pick Oshawott the first time we played BW.
• Starter sizes are not to scale!
• Character depictions are based on our headcanons.
